With the update in the application purchased by Facebook in 2014, users will be able to shop directly by accessing the stores named “Facebook Shops”
WhatsApp executive Matt Idema announced that the new feature will be available later this year. The company hopes to be able to generate revenue from its free app.
Facebook’s e-commerce service “Facebook Shops” started in the USA in May while the Covid-19 crisis was continuing. Thanks to the service, sellers can make direct sales from Facebook and Instagram via pages integrated with the social network.
On the other hand, WhatsApp, which wants to be an alternative to video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Skype, whose use is rapidly increasing during the epidemic, is preparing to publish its new feature for those who chat on the computer.
The new feature allows you to make voice or video calls from the desktop. It will be possible to benefit from the feature both individually and as a group.
This feature is expected to be available on WhatsApp Web in a few weeks.
